How do I get a promotion

Work smart and efficient. Be kind, courteous and respectful. And please stop worrying about the promotion. When you do people notice that it is what is more important than your work. You are not likely to get promoted if you are trying too hard. Those you see watching you are doing so because of your work and your attitude. Most people don't care if you get ahead. They are concerned about themselves. help someone get promoted.

Okay so from this I have gathered that I should just be myself and be good at being myself.

Bates53 - I understand you point about being efficient and not just working too hard because I know some people who work very hard and managements prefers they stay there..doing what they do best.
