1.0 WELCOME REMARKS
1.1 The chairperson called the meeting to order at 18:00 hours and welcomed
members present to the meeting.
2.0 <u>MATTERS ARISING</u>
2.1 Jay Jay had gone to Gift land. The printing for T-Shirts with picture and
text will cost us ZMK 44, 500.00 each.
At Reprographics it depends according to the size and on an A4 paper it
costs ZMK 30, 000.00 in Black and White.
2.2 Farmboy said that a man who went to supply stuff at his work place also
does the printing. It costs ZMK 12,000.00 but if the Bwanji home page
cover could be added, it would cost ZMK 15, 000.00. The man has not yet
showed up with a sample as per agreed.
2.3 A Logo for the T-Shirts with the www.bwanji.com and bwanji charity was
designed by Kayambila.
2.4 Telisha had a recorded interview with Radio Phoenix. She reported that all
went well and it will be aired on Sunday on Help line.
2.5 The Kabanana crew wants to get involved with Bwanji Charity. Ruth
Kabanana, who was present at the meeting, informed the committee that
next week Thursday 21st December 2006, Kabanana with Bwanji will have
to go to Friidah’s place and donate.
The Kabanana crew will donate a Christmas hamper, Unilever products,
Chitenges and second hand clothes while bwanji will donate a wheel chair it
acquired from Society Family Health. nana2 collected it on Wednesday
13th December 2006 after a request for it she sent was accepted.
2.6 It was further leant that Kabanana uses people who identify Orphanages
and the underprivileged and donate through them.
2.7 On 30th December 2006, the day of the party, ZNBC Kwacha Good
morning Zambia will host Mr. & Mrs. Kabanana and a Bwanji member.
2.8 GBM Milling Company and Californian beverages are willing to assist bwanji
for sponsorship. Fify and Ruth Kabanana to visit the two places by
tomorrow (Friday 15th December 2006) and drop the letters seeking
sponsorship.
Zambian Breweries have not yet fully responded, but they are promising
of something else to donate other than monetary. They also promise to
look into Fridah’s parent’s case of empowering them with starting up a
small business as we suggested. Still awaiting for a full response.
2.9 The N’gombe Community School and orphanage to be helped by Plascon
through Kabanana by painting the classrooms sometime next year in
January. The exercise will be done by the Kabanana Crew and the Bwanji
members.
2.10 Impact band to confirm performing at the band by Friday 15th December
2006. Levin’s has confirmed performing. Shimaster and Winstone may join
the party late.
2.11 On advertising, it was suggested that 3 banners be put in three critical
locations namely; Arcades, Manda Hill and Kafue roundabout. Flyers &
Tickets to be designed by Kayambila and Farmboy respectively.
Pre - sale tickets to be distributed in selected places, like supermarkets.
Nana2 went to movie studio to find out how much ads cost and they were
far too expensive. It was therefore decided not to go ahead with T.V
advertising. Fify to vist hone fm, Telisha radio phoenix.
3.0 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
There being no other business, the meeting was declared closed at 19: 17 hours.
