I do
Two simple words yet so heavy
Once spoken so binding
With these words a covenant is cut
Two simple words their meaning a multitude
I do sounds so easy to say
Yet takes a lot of courage to be spoken
I say I do to commit myself to you
From now until forever
The two words say I forsake all others
I will only love and be faithful to you
I do is what you say now
To mean you shall love and cherish me
We both say I do today
We commit our lives to each other
I do
These are the two words we speak
As those around witness
With these words is jubilation
By saying I do
We become one for always
