Thread: Bwanji.com 2006 Party

    Hello All

    Thanks to Telishawill it looks like we may get to have the Bwanji.com 2006 party. The goal is to have a social gathering after Christmas but before the New Years, so possibly on the 29th or 30th of December. So right now what we're looking for is feedback on the following:

    1) What city should we host this party in Zambia?

    2) What is the maximum amount that you would be willing to pay as the ticket fee to this event?

    3) What suggestions do you have for making this party a success?

    Great Idea Admin and thank you again for thinking big about bwanji all the time. The party is a must idea and personally I will attend tho I will have to travel from SA. I can see a great start for many more great events on bwanji and so think our friends who are in very far places who can't travel to Zed need not worry.

    1. The best city to have this in Zambia is Lusaka I think (my view). It is quite central and easy to get to for every1 from Lstone to CB, Nakonde to Mongu.

    2. Amount depends on the costs to be covered to have it succeed. In kwachas.......a range I would give is between 0 and K500,000. The lesser the fee the better ofcourse.

    1. Keep us posted and informed about the progress and if needs be...involve some of us to help in the planing and organisation and stuff especially our friends who r in Zed like Teli so. More than willing to help.

    Admin I have some suggestions, on the city I think that we shud lok at at where the majority of Bwanjists are. But i think lusaka might carry the day coz its kinda central for the people in Zambia

    Success wise we shud try and engage some of the local musicians to grace the occasion that can make it a bang. We must also make it open as in not only bwanji pipo but for everyone so that in a wat pipo who dont know about bwanji can know about us tho this might rule out having a bollte party which i thinkwill be more cost effective

    Ticket fees is a tricky one as no two pipo will agree on a figure the best is to just impose a figure and let pipo go with it

    Guys and dolls lets make this work

    BA ADMIN, quick Q? have you launched your site? if not it could be another way of advertising it.
    i have been looking forward to this for a very long time.
    ok, i did advise mangulungu that most of you guys re from lusaka, the captial, so i guase that mean we have to come that side as the centre.
    that means we have to travell and we have to cut on a few expenses. there some also from the belt and all over the place.
    my suggestion was we could sub divide when it comes to 0rganisation. pipo form lsk will be the horst so you work on the vanue, activities and everything that will take place. that mean a few pipo will be in charge and have met and plan how it goes about.
    now for as who re far away, we can moblise ourselves and see how we can get there.
    i did say i can arrange the guys from the c/belt and see how we can get there. for those in other section they can do the same.
    identify your self to a cartain group.
    we could also cut some cost on thngs by saying each one come with there own drinks and stuff. then just pay a certain fee to cater for the bray back and stuff.
    considering that fact that most of as have to travel it will be better to cut on the cost.
    AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.

    babygirl admin launched the site i visited it a few days ago, i agree with baby girl we need to look at those coming from out of lusaka who would like to attend this party and the expenses they have to occur if we agree on lusaka being the central place , depending on the venue am not so sure the come with your own drinks and stuff will be a good idea like for example if we choose a venue like polo grill they have a bar am not so sure they would be keen on letting us in with our own drinks needless to say it is an idea,

    I got no problem with venue and the fees myself. Wherever there is a beer and beauty, I shall be there. Count me in guys!!!!

    I suggest Lusaka as the city, Club phenix as the venue and 20pin as the charge. It should also start in the noons like 2pm.

    My reasons
    1- Lusaka is central for everyone and its like most of the poeple from outside Lusaka have one or two relatives/ friends to keep up with for the night.
    2- Club phoenix is right in town and its very easy to access. With or without a taxi. Besides there can provide security for some of us who are security concious & it has a food outlet just within.
    3- 20pin is affordable as you will have to buy your own drinks. This is to avoid running out of drinks if you held it at some house or so.
    4- 2 pm is ideal as its just a get together party not a dance a night away as for those that will be coming from outside will have time to get to their refuge without a hasle on the accomodators. If you intend to go all night long its you own wanting.

    Count me in if the above are met.

    It's never a Party till bling is in the Building!!

    I don't think the bwanji party would be so difficult to organise.. First of all K500,000 per bwanjist is way to expensive for the event.

    But we can make it real easy. Let's book a place like Polo Grill in lusaka and advertise it in the name of "BWANJI" both radio and T.V. So we only have to calculate the Advertising Costs and the Polo Grill booking fee.

    Am sure every one will want to know what bwanji is all about and a lot of Guys and Gals would attend the event. We can put up a fee of maybe 20,000 kwacha per head. Just like an ordinary Party but with the Difference; "Bling Present". Drinks and Beers will be one's own baby.

    We also have to hook up some great Zambian Artists to perform there. Bikiloni and Diffikoti would definately spice up the event!!

    How do we know which member is from bwanji...? Bwanji Roll Call right there!!

    This kind of event will raise funds to develop our site and also call a lot more new members in the Bwanji House... Did i say develop our site? No!! We don't need funds to develop a site. We need a lot of ladie's brains, Coz Mike is living proof that man can live without a brain!

    One More Thing..... Yep! Yep! is the name of the Game... All will be the Same. So what my Name? Bling dats the Thing!
